Gruppetto is a cycling club based in Ghent (Belgium) and founded in 2018 by a group of amateur and semi-professionals friends, in order to meet on weekends and participate in competitions. Black is essential on all equipment (jerseys, waders and caps) to differentiate itself from other clubs of the province through simplicity. The logo used is simple and reflects the specificities of cycling by the fine details of its drawing. The double 't' also works as a symbol, using all the characteristics of the design alone. To promote the club to cycling fans or to promote different sporting events in East Flanders, posters, flyers and social networks have been developed. The combination of characters SangBleu Kingdom and Swiss Int'l from the Swiss Typefaces foundry presents the different information on a white background, sometimes accompanied by photographs.
30 years, 1988-2018
Dune Lunel Studio has been contacted to design the identity of the Rex Club as part of an invitation to tender. Whilst working as an intern for the studio, I have been given carte blanche to think, design and present a new identity 360 system for the 2018 season. I was then able to work on this beautiful project as a freelance designer during the year, until the end of the Rex Club's 30-year season. The main idea was to highlight the names of artists and information rather than the visual. I therefore chose Yoann Minet's Totentanz Slanted typeface, marked by a strong design which offered rhythm and movement.
It is accompanied by a "neutral" typeface, the Maison Neue of the Milieu Grotesque Foundry. The complete system has been considered responsive, suitable for both printed and digital media. A relationship and a balance is created between texts and images.
The agency MDNH architects was founded more than 13 years ago by Marie Degos and Nicolas Hartung, and is specialized in social housing while being aware of environmental approaches. The logotype has been designed to stand out from competing agencies during contests as well as with business bidders, while symbolizing the geometric and minimalist approach visible on all the projects led by MDNH. From this thought follows the design of the "book" expressing itself on the different materials used as well as the different projects realized until then. The focus is on the design of the volumes but also the materials both for their appearance, their utility as their environmental impact.
